Lifecycle accuracy
Explain ITAD as a controlled, documented process from retirement trigger through final outcome.
Module 01 · Certification
Prove that you can explain ITAD and Galide’s role in plain language, map an asset through its lifecycle, and distinguish verified operating facts from assumptions.
The standard is buyer-ready judgment—not memorized terminology. The listener should understand the problem, the process, the decisions, and the next useful action.
Use this page for a short practice assessment during the first week. Complete the real field assignment and manager sign-off in weeks 2–4 before treating the skill as certified.
01 · Standard
Complete one facilitated teach-back and one field or simulated assignment. Score each assessment separately; both must reach 80/100 with no critical miss.
Explain ITAD as a controlled, documented process from retirement trigger through final outcome.
Separate device-management release, data sanitization, custody, physical destruction, and disposition decisions.
Connect Galide to the buyer’s evidence without inventing value, timing, documentation, or service commitments.
02 · Practice
The facilitator plays the prospect. Ask for clarification when needed, then explain the process at the buyer’s altitude.
Simulation account
Fictional account used only for practice. Your goal is clarity and judgment, not a complete solution design.
03 · Score
A critical miss prevents certification even if the numeric score is 80 or higher.
| Criterion | What strong performance sounds like | Weight | Critical miss |
|---|---|---|---|
| ITAD purpose | Explains ITAD as the controlled process for moving technology out of active use and into an approved, documented next outcome—not simply pickup or recycling. | 15 | Defines ITAD only as equipment removal, resale, or recycling. |
| Lifecycle accuracy | Walks logically through trigger, scope, collection, control, inspection, routing, reporting, and exceptions. | 25 | Skips ownership, control, or evidence needed to support the next outcome. |
| Security and controls | Correctly separates MDM/Activation Lock release, data sanitization, chain of custody, and physical destruction. | 20 | Treats management release or factory reset as verified sanitization, or custody as proof of destruction. |
| Disposition judgment | Explains that reuse, resale, recovery, recycling, and exception treatment depend on evidence, policy, condition, and readiness. | 15 | Promises resale or value without accounting for locks, condition, requirements, or asset detail. |
| Galide explanation | Connects Galide to a clear next-step process: recover value where supported, reduce risk, and document what happens next. | 15 | Invents or guarantees capability, certification, reporting, timing, value, or service scope. |
| Commercial clarity | Uses plain buyer language, adapts by stakeholder, separates facts from assumptions, and proposes a useful next action. | 10 | Feature-dumps, hides uncertainty, or fails to identify the input needed next. |
04 · Field test
Use a manager-approved simulation, or maintain the real-account brief in the approved company system. Enter only sanitized, non-confidential labels on this public page.
Document the trigger, scope, locations, controls, likely paths, required evidence, stakeholders, unknowns, and recommended next action.
Deliver a 30-second Galide explanation and a two-minute lifecycle explanation. The observer asks one Security question and one Finance question.
05 · Reflect
Complete this before scoring. The reflection makes coaching specific and improves the next attempt.
06 · Certify
Manager sign-off can be completed on the printed or saved-PDF record. The page itself does not transmit or persist results; use only sanitized entries and save approved records through the company process.
Both required assessments must score at least 80 / 100, each with no critical miss. If the first attempt does not pass, repeat after targeted coaching using a new scenario.
